Merchants use the Yo! Data Exchange is used to initialize the Yo! Personalization Server.
Upload Product Catalogs
Merchants use the Yo! Data Exchange to upload their product catalogs to the Yo! Personalization Service. Catalogs may be provided in PML, XML or any standard database formats. Catalogs are transferred via FTP to a password-protected directory.
Upload Behavioral Data (Optional)
To optimize recommendations delivered by the Yo! Personalization Service, merchants can choose to upload historical purchase and/or clickstream behavior using the Yo! Data Exchange.
Behavioral data may be provided in any standard database format. Data is transferred via FTP to a password-protected directory.

The Yo! Manager is used to administer Yo! Boxes.
(a) Create Yo! Box
The Yo! Manager is used to create Yo! Boxes for inclusion on a web site.
Select Product Category
The Yo! Manager provides a point-and-click interface for specifying the category of products available for display in a Yo! Box. The recommendations in a Yo! Box can be limited to a product type such as "Music CDs", or a product genre such as "Jazz CDs".
Customize Presentation Appearance
The Yo! Manager is used to specify how personalized product recommendations are displayed in a Yo! Box. The Yo! Manager provides a point-and-click interface for customizing the look-and-feel of a Yo! Box with respect to colors, fonts, images and size.
- Add Yo! Boxes to Web Site (Web Sites Only)
The Yo! Manager automatically generates a
special HTML tag whenever a Yo! Box is created. Adding this Yo!
Box to a web site is a simple matter of pasting this tag into an
existing page.
