Charles
Jones
Chief Executive Officer
Charles
Jones has been a visionary technologist since
the early eighties. Beginning at
the University of Michigan, Jones researched the
relationship between cognition and social networks and foresaw a
future in which networked computers would become a
dominant social medium. In 1986, Charles joined Action Technologies, a
pioneer of PC-based email and workflow. Six years later, Jones
used this technology to help IBM cut its Engineering
Change Management process time in half, saving IBM millions of
dollars. In 1994, Jones joined forces with QDM, a Lotus Notes business
partner, to create "Quality at Work" -- winner of IDC's "Best
Ad-Hoc Work Management Product". Jones went on to design IBM's eCommerce
Extranet, enabling business partners to order IBM PC
products over the Internet. Seizing an historic opportunity to
bring personalization to the masses, Charles left IBM to co-found Yo.com
in 1999. Charles has a Bachelors degree in Mathematics
and Philosophy from the University of Michigan.
